Toongabbie Public School has been serving its local community since 1886. Strong community support is a recognised feature of the school.
Diverse cultural and social student backgrounds assist in providing caring and tolerant attitudes and values. The school's Mission "to provide quality education for all in a caring environment where students can achieve their personal best" underpins all school planning and practice.
Excellence and personal best efforts are encouraged and acknowledged. While special focus is placed on literacy and numeracy, the school offers a broad range of all curricular and extra-curricular programs, including band, chess, choir, dance, debating, drama and interschool sport. There is a strong focus on environmental education and student leadership.
Toongabbie Public School acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of our land – Australia. The school acknowledges the Gadigal of the Eora Nation as the traditional custodians of this place we now call our school.
